Common questions

Is PhillyXL really free?: Most of our courses are completely free. Some advanced workshops have a nominal fee to cover instructor costs, but free options will always exist for every topic we cover. If cost is a barrier, contact us — we'll figure it out.
Do I need any prior experience to enroll?: Nope. Our beginner courses start from zero. No coding experience, no technical background. We designed them for people who have never touched code or AI before.
How does the mentor matching work?: We match students with mentors based on learning path, availability, and shared interests. Mentors are fellow students — high school, college, or adults who've been on the same path. We provide a session guide and support. Either side can opt out if it's not working.
Is my donation tax-deductible?: Yes. PhillyXL is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. You'll receive a donation receipt immediately after your gift is processed.
